The company specializes in quality Christian music materials for churches, and Headstrate Entertainment produces music for film and television. Its list of clients includes churches in more than 30 states and six countres, Stellar Award Nominated artists, film companies and major record labels.

Joshua Head is an esteemed professional writer, producer, and a prolific businessman. He began his professional journey less than four years ago and is now CEO of HEADSTRATE ENTERTAINMENT, a Christian Music Publishing and Consulting company based in Hampton, Virginia. This notable composer and pianist is a member of the national faculty of Gospel Music Workshop of America (GMWA) where he is teaching songwriting and composition. Head recently developed a new Children’s Choir Curriculum for Urban Ministries Incorporated (UMI), one of the largest African-American owned and operated publishing companies.

He arranged songs, produced the music, and wrote all of educational lessons to accompany the curriculum, which is being offered to more than 30,000 churches across the country.

With a master’s degree in music education from Hampton University, Head has managed to diversify his experience in the music industry by writing for an international project with six major universities. The project was President Bush’s African Education Initiative: Textbooks for a Global Society Project. The talented musician co-wrote a series of educational books as well as produced recordings for the five-year project, which will produce 4.5 million textbooks and other learning materials to be translated and published in six African countries.
